Over a century old villa, with the luxury of an infrequent wide space in front of it looks down upon the valley off the main road in Coonoor. The name of the villa has an anecdotal story of its christening as it has a 180 degree view of the vistas in front. The villa has been restored by Amberina and Junaid to give its luxurious avatar yet maintaining the distinct features from its past. High ceilings, fire places, wooden floors and memorabilia from its hay days blend in well with the new aesthetics of the place. Previous guests often joke that the villa's brightly painted extravagant rooms fall just a tad short in luxury as compared to the splendid bathrooms - this is where you might end up spending a lot of your time.
A perfect place to enjoy with a good book slumped in the garden chair. You can spend hours in the villa simply soaking yourself in the sunny weather or sudden showers of Coonoor. This colonoial homestay is also known for its large spread of organic food in the restaurant run by Chef Pierre Mazou. The restaurant is called La Belle Vie and sources a lot of its fresh produce from local organically inclined farms. The villa also has a small shop where you can pick up souvenirs for back home.
Pets: All rooms are not opened out to guests with pets. Discuss with the host to get yourself a room that is on the furthest corner if you are travelling with a pet.
